Everything you need to stitch your own textile artwork:
- A collage of fabric offcuts assembled by Scattered Four Winds, size approximately 15cm x 21cm (6" x 8")
- Cotton sashiko thread in natural and two coordinating colours
- A sashiko hand sewing needle
- Basic embroidery stitches guide
- A5 recycled card and envelope
Collage may include pieces of screen printed linen or cotton with designs by Australian textile designers, artisan woven cotton, organic cotton, hand dyed indigo linen, digitally printed linen or cotton, cotton linen blend, and/or heavyweight linen.
Fabric pieces are machine stitched in place to keep assembly together while stitching, and can be used as a guide to create straight lines of hand stitching. These stitch lines can be removed on completion (or at any time you choose).
When you're happy that it's finished, attach it to the card enclosed and gift it, frame it (find a frame at your local charity shop!) or turn it into a patch on a cushion or tote bag, a coaster or a zipper pouch!
